Hello beauty lovers! I mentioned in an earlier post that I’ve been trying to switch all of my old makeup and skincare products out for totally natural and cruelty free products. I’ve found that one of the easiest ways to try out new products was to sign up for Petit Vour, a monthly subscription box for natural and vegan beauty. A Petit Vour subscription is only $15 a month, which is a great deal because you usually receive at least one full size product valued at over $15 and I almost always like everything in the box. I get so excited to see what I’ll get each month and I thought I would write a monthly review of the products, starting with the April box!
Nubian Heritage African Black Soap Lotion
I’m already a fan of African Black Soap because I have sensitive skin that is prone to redness and itching and African Black Soap helps calm the skin; it’s also great for eczema or psoriasis. I’ve used the soap version but have never tried a lotion and I LOVE this one by Nubian Heritage. It’s super moisturizing without feeling greasy, and has a nice, light scent that’s not overwhelming. It contains moisturizing ingredients like shea butter, jojoba oil, oats and Vitamin E. It’s currently unavailable to purchase on Petit Vour but you can get it here. Also available in Patchouli & Buriti (shown above) here.
French Girl Organics Nail and Cuticle Oil
One thing I really need to work on is nail care because my nails always look terrible! My cuticles are always dry and cracking so I’ve had cuticle oil on my list of things to buy for some time now. And just like a gift from the gods, French Girl Organics Nail and Cuticle Oil appeared in my Petit Vour box this month! It comes in the perfect sized roll-on bottle. It’s super easy to roll some on before bed or on the go. It contains a blend of essential oils that help moisturize even the driest of cuticles (like mine). Get it here.
MarieNatie Love Marie Lip Gloss
Lip gloss is one thing I don’t wear very often simply because it’s hard to find a good one. They always seem to be incredibly sticky or leave my lips feeling as dry as the Sahara. But this gloss by MarieNatie is a winner for sure. It’s long-lasting, non-sticky, and smells amazing! Plus it contains coconut and jojoba oils so its ultra moisturizing. Petit Vour sent me the shade “tickled” which is right up my alley. Its a soft pink color that’s great for those of us ladies who like a natural looking lip. Get it here.
Suntegrity 5-in-1 Natural Moisturizing Tinted Sunscreen
An all natural facial sunscreen has been one of the hardest things for me to find. All of the ones I’ve tried have either been too greasy, too chalky, or doesn’t layer well under makeup, so when I saw this tinted sunscreen by Suntegrity in my box, I wasn’t expecting much. But I actually really like it! It’s a good consistency (doesn’t feel too heavy on my skin) and it’s tinted enough that I’ve been wearing it without any other makeup over it on days when I just need light coverage. And it’s SPF 30 which is better than most foundations that either contain no SPF or SPF 15. Get it here.
This month’s Petit Vour box was definitely a hit and I’m sure I’ll be buying the full size version of all these products once I run out of the sample size. Have you tried any of these brands or do you recommend anything similar? Let me know in the comments!
