Hi beauty lovers! Today I want to talk about a brand that I’ve been trying out recently, Juice Beauty. This brand caught my attention because it’s all natural, organic, vegan, and cruelty-free! I’ve received a few of their products in Petit Vour boxes and stocked up on some others at Bloomingdale’s. I wanted to give a totally honest review of the products I’ve tried to let you know which ones I’m loving and which ones I’d pass on. Have you tried any Juice Beauty products? If so I’d love to hear your thoughts, so feel free to leave a comment at the end of this post!
Stem Cellular Exfoliating Peel Spray
The Stem Cellular Exfoliating Peel Spray is probably my favorite product out of everything I’ve tried from Juice Beauty. You spray the exfoliator onto your face, massage it into your skin, and instantly feel the dead skin lifting off your face. It’s pretty amazing! It’s made with malic acid from apples, grape juice, aloe juice, and all kinds of other plant goodness so it’s super healthy and gentle on your skin. It really doesn’t even feel like you’re exfoliating, but it leaves your skin feeling as soft as a baby’s bum! I have sensitive skin and have some rosacea in my cheeks so I only use this once a week and I use it before bed because it does cause a little bit of redness (which normally calms down within half an hour). There is also a version of this product that’s formulated for sensitive skin, but I’ve tried it a few times and feel like it doesn’t really do anything for me. I much prefer the regular product.
Stem Cellular CC Cream
I have mixed feelings about this CC Cream. When I first tried it I loved it and felt like it provided pretty good coverage for a CC Cream, without feeling like my face was too cakey. I also like that it’s SPF 30, feels moisturizing and gives my skin a dewey look. However, after using it for a few months now, I’m starting to be a little unimpressed with it. I feel like I have to use a lot of product to get the coverage I want (and I don’t even want that much coverage; I like the “no-makeup” makeup look) and it feels way too greasy on my skin. You definitely can’t use this product without a finishing powder, otherwise it will leave your face looking shiny and will just wipe right off if you touch your face. I think it’s a good product to have on hand to use sometimes when you really don’t need much makeup and want sun protection, but it’s not ideal for those times when you want more coverage.
Phyo-Pigments Perfecting Concealer
This concealer is another product I really loved when I first tried it but am now feeling kind of meh about. My main problem is dark circles, and this concealer just doesn’t seem to do the trick in covering them up. I can usually layer it a bit to get the job done, but it doesn’t last all day. The texture is also a little strange, but not a total deal breaker. It’s thicker than most concealers and has a bit of a gritty texture, which can be unpleasant on delicate areas like the skin under your eyes. When the product warms up on your skin the grit does go away and I’ve noticed that since the weather has been warmer this hasn’t been as much of a problem. I really wanted to love this concealer because it has amazing ingredients like a plant stem cell blend, coconut oil, and plant waxes for example, but it’s not quite working for me. I’d say this would be worth trying for anyone who doesn’t have too many blemishes or crazy dark circles to cover up.
Phyto-Pigments Flawless Finishing Powder
The Phyto-Pigments Flawless Finishing Powder is definitely a powder that’s working for me! I’ve tried a few different finishing powders over the years and have found that many of them look too cakey over foundation, but this one is really light weight and translucent. I’ve been wearing it over the Stem Cellular CC Cream, which I mentioned is a tad greasy, but the powder sets it perfectly and keeps everything in place. I think this will be my go-to finishing powder unless I find another one that just blows me away.
Phyto-Pigments Flash Luminizer
I absolutely love the Phyto-Pigments Flash Luminizer! It’s a 2-in-1 cheek color and highlighter duo that adds a very natural glow to your cheeks. You can swipe on a little bit or add multiple layers depending on how much color you want. Once I’ve swiped some color on my cheeks I normally just dab it around with my fingers and then add more as needed; easy breezy! I have it in the color combo called “Cream-Marigold” which is a gorgeous blush pink and light golden highlighter. It’s also available in “Blush-Rose” which is a slightly deeper pink and light pink highlighter; I’m probably going to get the “Blush-Rose” color combo when the weather starts to cool down again because the deeper pink is perfect for winter. You can also grab “Golden-Bronze” which is a highlighter and bronzer duo.
Phyo-Pigments Cream Shadow Stick
I received the Phyto-Pigments Cream Shadow Stick in the color “Mist” in one of my Petit Vour boxes. I’ll start by saying I love the color! It’s a really pretty cream color with just the right amount of shimmer. Unfortunately the color is really the only thing I like about it. You have to put a lot on for the color to show up, it comes off really easily, and instantly settles in the crease of your eyelid. It could make a good highlighter for your brow bone, but as an eye shadow I’m not in love (or even in like).
Phyto-Pigments Precision Eye Pencil
I’ve actually been using the Phyto-Pigments Precision Eye Pencil as a brow pencil instead of eye liner and I’m loving it! It doesn’t go on too heavy and it’s easy to blend, giving me full brows that look totally natural. Since this is meant to be an eye liner, most of the shades it comes in might not work for brows, but I got lucky in that the brown shade matches my brows perfectly. I’m not a huge eye liner gal, but I have used this eye pencil for its intended purpose a few times and still loved it!
Phyto-Pigments Luminous Lip Crayon
The Phyto-Pigments Luminous Lip Crayon was another item I received in a Petit Vour Box. I got it in the color”Malibu” which I love because it’s a very natural pink that gives your lips just a little bit of extra color. I also like the matte texture, because again, it looks more natural than a very glossy lip color. However, this lip crayon dries my lips out and makes them totally flaky, which ain’t cute. I will occasionally swipe a little bit on over some super moisturizing lip balm, but within a few hours my lips will still be dying for some moisture. If you’re someone who doesn’t constantly have dry lips, this might be worth trying, otherwise I’d say pass on this one. I am interested in trying the Phyto-Pigments Satin Lip Cream in hopes that it’s a bit more moisturizing than the lip crayon.
