Hello, hello! I feel like I’m back from the dead, at least for now. I don’t know if anyone actually cares, but I just thought I’d share a little about what I’ve been up to for the past few months. I’ve mostly been incredibly busy with my real job and have been too exhausted to do anything blog related, which I decided is OK because I started this blog as a fun side project and there’s no reason to make it a stressful thing. I also contemplated moving back to Fresno for a hot second. I adore Long Beach and everything it has to offer, but the truth is, it’s expensive. Way expensive. I had been thinking about Fresno as an option for awhile because it’s really not a bad place to live; it’s affordable, it’s central to all the wonderful places California has to offer, I have friends and family there, and it has some cool “only in Fresno” gems. Plus, my mom has a hammock in her backyard…
But after taking a trip to Fresno to seriously consider moving back, I thought “nah, not right now.” Which then led me to look into cheaper living options in the LBC so that I could stay here and also be able to afford to do fun things! So I took the cats and we moved from a studio apartment to an even smaller studio apartment. It’s tiny and it’s not ideal in many ways (the parking situation is wack, the litter box has to go in the kitchen, and there’s no electrical outlet in the bathroom) but it’s also incredibly charming and feels totally right for me. Here’s some pictures of the place pre-move-in (and my cute oven with a super helpful baking guide).
Somewhere in between contemplating a move to Fresno and moving to a new place in Long Beach, I went on my first solo trip! I went to Quebec City and fell in love with both the city and solo travel. I promise to share more about that trip later, but here’s a sneak preview for now…
Aside from all that, I’ve also doing fun little things like taking day trips to Laguna Beach to hang with my dad and cuddling with animals at Farm Sanctuary events.
So that’s pretty much what I’ve been up to in case you were wondering. I’m hoping to get back to posting more regularly on here over the next few months. Until next time!
