Mother’s Day is less than two weeks away! How did that happen? Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate your mother (she did give you life, after all), your grandmother, or any woman who has been like a mother to you. It’s a time to take the opportunity to get something special for our moms to let them know we appreciate them. Have you thought about what to get your mom yet? If not, don’t worry I’ve put together a list of some ideas for you.
- “In the Company of Women” is a great coffee table book all about inspirational women and the advice they have for other women. Often times our moms are the most inspirational women in our lives and are who we turn to when we need advice. While I’m sure our moms love being the ones to give advice, they probably wouldn’t mind getting some inspiration and advice from other women and receive it in the form of a beautiful book they can page through on a lazy day.
- An assortment of flower seeds is a great gift for the mom with a green thumb. Make it even more special by planting those seeds in the garden together, so rather than just giving her something, you’re also creating a memory together.
- A cookbook is a classic gift for any mom that loves to be in the kitchen. Find one with lots of beautiful pictures like “Green Kitchen at Home” that will give her inspiration for her next great meal. As mentioned above, it’s always more special if you and your mom can do something together, so choose a recipe (or two!) and spend the day cooking with Mom.
- Find a pretty planter like this one and plant something special in it like your mom’s favorite flower. It’s much nicer than just going to the store to get a pre-planted flower (or plant) or sending a bouquet. By planting the flowers yourself, more thought and love goes into the gift!
- Getting your mom a candle is kind of an unoriginal gift, but what mom doesn’t like candles?! And this one is BIG and comes in a really pretty jar. Pair the candle with something nice like a bath soak and/or a facial steam so your mom can give herself a spa day.
- A recipe box is another great gift for any mom that loves to cook. This one by Rifle Paper Co. is so pretty it will add a little something special to your mom’s kitchen. Before giving this gift to your mom, get the recipe box started by writing an old family favorite on one of the recipe cards.
Any moms out there reading this that can think of something they’d like that’s not on this list? Feel free to chime in by leaving a comment!
