Hello beauty lovers! I mentioned in an earlier post that I've been trying to switch all of my old makeup and skincare products out for totally natural and cruelty free products. I've found that one of the easiest ways to try out new products was to sign up for Petit Vour, a monthly subscription box for natural and vegan beauty. A Petit Vour subscription is only $15 a month, which is a great deal because you usually receive at least one full size product valued at over $15 and I almost always like everything in the box. I get so excited to see what I'll get each month and I thought I would write a monthly review of the products, starting with the April box! Nubian Heritage African Black Soap ... read more
Denim Romper
Oh Monday, we meet again! What was everyone up to this weekend? I did a little shopping on Saturday and loaded up on a ton of Juice Beauty (more on that later), and had a super lazy day on Sunday (but did manage to finally do the laundry I had been putting off for the past two weeks). It was such a nice weekend it was hard to get back to the grind today, but I wanted to share this fun, easy weekend look with you! This J Brand denim romper is so cute and is a great summer staple that can be worn with sneakers (my personal fave), ankle boots, or sandals. I wore it with this Angela Roi saddle bag in a soft blush color that's perfect for spring. I love Angela Roi because it's an ethical company ... read more
Sustainable Fashion
Happy Earth Day! In honor of this special day in which we take time to celebrate the planet we live on (and that gives us so much!) I put together a list of sustainable fashion brands that are doing their part in keeping the environment clean. I love fashion (and I’m guessing if you’re reading this, you probably love fashion too) but let’s face it, fashion is not great for the environment. It creates a ton of waste, uses massive amounts of water and energy, and causes pollution in rivers and oceans. Not good! But many apparel companies are starting to take steps to be more environmentally friendly, like the five I’ve listed below, so you can shop guilt-free (well mostly). Matt & ... read more
Blue and White Stripes
How was everyone's Easter? Mine was super relaxing. Alan and I spent the morning wandering around Long Beach and found some pretty cool spots hidden in the alleyways to take some photos. The weather was perfect! The sun was out and was warm on our skin, but there was a cool breeze to keep it from being hot. Later we went for a run on the beach and then went to Whole Foods for a light lunch. If I'm not at home or at work you can probably find me at Whole Foods because it's basically my favorite place. Later I made a cute little Easter dinner and we watched the new Louis C.K. special on Netflix, which was hilarious (as long as you don't mind slightly offensive humor). I ... read more
Favorite Cozy Sweatshirts
I don't know what's up with the weather! It keeps getting warm and then cold, warm and then cold. As much as I'm ready for summer weather, I've decided to just embrace the chilly days and savor them while they last. Especially since one of my favorite things to wear is a nice, cozy sweatshirt. I've been lusting after lots of cute ones lately and have decided to share a few of my faves! I love these because they're so comfy they can just be worn for a day of lounging around at home, but are cute enough that you could also throw one on to go run some errands or have coffee with your girlfriends. Above Im wearing Rails "Le Mermaid" Sweatshirt (more affordable mermaid option here) and ... read more
