perfect summer dress

Happy Friday again! How was your 4th of July? I went back to my hometown of Fresno over the weekend for some family time, swimming, and lots of yummy barbecued vegan food. I was back in Long Beach for the fourth and enjoyed some quiet time at home. I watched The Fundamentals of Caring on Netflix which was a heartwarming little movie if you’re looking for something to watch. (I also may or may not have watched Fifty Shades Darker…) Later I walked to the beach to watch the Queen Mary fireworks show. I definitely was not ready to go back to work on Wednesday but at least it was a short week. I’m hoping I can get back to posting more consistently since the rest of my summer should be pretty laid back.

Since it really feels like it’s officially summer now, I thought I would share this white embroidered dress by Red Carter. I just think it’s the perfect summer dress! It’s white, it’s off the shoulder, it’s fun to twirl in. What more could you ask for? Plus it has the most perfect embroidery detail that adds a little pop of color. If you’re looking for a maxi dress that’s similar, this one from Forever 21 is a good option!

Since I love wearing sneakers with dresses, I threw on these peach Converse (also worn here) that are currently 40% off! Aside from white high tops, these may be my favorite pair of Converse! I just love the color for spring and summer. If you don’t like sneakers or if the temperature is too hot, you can always wear sandals.

I’m also wearing my favorite pair of sunnies, which you can get here. I’m also pretty into the round version! I might just have to get me some of those too!
