If you can’t already tell from this post, this post, and this post, I’m a fan of stripes! Stripes are just so classic and versatile, especially in neutral color combos like on this Maje sweater (currently on sale at Bloomingdale’s). You can never go wrong with black and white! I especially love the mini bell sleeves on this sweater and the pop of color along the bottom. It’s a pretty thick material, so when summer rolls around this bad boy will have to be kept in the closet, but other than that it can pretty much be worn year round. I’m wearing it with these Rag & Bone cutoff shorts for spring, but come fall they can be worn with jeans, and then with a jacket on top for the winter months.
Another thing I’m a fan of is sneakers, but if you know me or have been reading the blog for awhile you already know that! I just recently started gravitating toward the platform sneaker trend. Most of the time when I see a platform sneaker I can’t quite decide if it’s ugly, cute, or so ugly it’s cute! But in the case of these linen platform Supergas, I’m going with just straight up cute! I think the fact that they’re a neutral color make them a little easier to swallow than some of the other crazy platforms out there. For fall and winter, the Maje sweater will look amazing with boots, whether they be black, brown, grey, knee-high, thigh-high or ankle. Didn’t I say stripes are versatile?!
I’m planning to take advantage of the long weekend and head to San Diego. I’m hoping for warm weather so I can lay at the beach for a few hours. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day and don’t forget to take advantage of all the sales going on this weekend!
