Stripes and the Wilderness

Happy Friday! I don’t know about you but I am so ready for the weekend. I think it’s supposed to be a little gloomy and chilly so I don’t really have any plans, but I’m okay with that. A weekend to just relax and catch up on some reading and TV shows sounds really nice. Maybe I’ll even bake something if I’m feeling ambitious…

I recently found this striped t-shirt dress by Splendid and thought it was so cute and flattering. I love the length of the sleeves and the fact that the dress hits right above my knees. It’s also SO comfortable, I could wear it for dayyysss! So comfortable in fact, I wore it to go explore the wilderness. Just kidding, I was actually just on the side of a busy street. I drive by this spot all the time and never really paid much attention to it until I got out and explored by foot. It was then that I really noticed how pretty the big trees and climbing ivy are, which is a good reminder to slow down and take in the beauty that’s all around you.

I paired the dress with these simple blush sandals from Old Navy and some Toms sunnies. I found the sandals on a day I really wasn’t supposed to be shopping (whoops) but they seemed like such a good summer staple I just couldn’t pass them up. You can literally wear these with anything and they’re pretty comfy, plus they come in multiple colors and are only $20! Win, win, win!
