When you think of summer fruit, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? I automatically think of sweet, juicy watermelon that’s oh so refreshing on a hot summer day. No backyard barbecue or trip to the beach would be complete without it. In my opinion, the only thing that’s almost as good as eating watermelon is wearing it, like on this linen button up by Rails. How cute is the print?! I love the contrast of the white shirt with the bright pink watermelon and the mixture of big watermelon slices and small ones. Along with the print, the cool linen makes it the perfect shirt for summer. It’s also available in a tee version here and a black long sleeve version here (not as summery but still cute!)
These boyfriend shorts by Paige are another great summer staple and are currently on sale. They fit loose making them super comfortable for a day of lounging in the park. I usually love a medium or dark washed denim but for summer this light wash is perfect. The rolled hem is also a nice change from all the cutoffs that are all over the place right now. They come in lots of different colors, which I’ve included at the bottom of this post. I also have them in white, which I found at Nordstrom’s Last Chance outlet when I was in Phoenix, and have already gotten so much use out of!
I finished off my outfit with these fun pink sunglasses by Wildfox. I love oversized sunglasses in the summer because you gotta protect your eyes from the intense sun! And these pink ones add the perfect pop of color to any outfit. I love them in this color as well! I’m wearing these white Superga sneakers, keeping it clean and simple!
